Pastor’s Welcome
Welcome to the website of Historic Eastland Baptist
Church. For over 95 years the Church has ministered to the community and
city.
Our purpose is to love God and all people by
leading them to be fully devoted followers of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Together we glorify
God by encouraging and equipping each other in our personal spiritual
growth through fellowship, service and reaching out to meet the needs of
others.
Eastland Baptist Church majors on engaging the
needs of the local community and around the world through the
International Mission Board with over 5,000 missionaries in more than
200 countries. We also are affiliated with the East Nashville
Cooperative Ministry which provides food, clothing and other services
and the Nashville Baptist Association which joins together the strength
of over 200 churches to serve God by serving people.
We are committed to teaching God’s
Word as the
basis for real living. We are a community of faith that demonstrates
God’s love to one another regardless of the shade of ones skin,
nationality origin or spiritual journey.
We are committed to reaching and teaching the
entire family. Because of that, we have focused teaching groups for
Preschool, Children, Youth, Median Adults, and Senior Adults that meets
at 9:30 am each Sunday.
I invite you to try us out by joining us in our
historic sanctuary at
1215 Gallatin Road (see map) at 10:45 am each
Sunday.
